No. SURI's signature plant-based brush heads are made from PLA, whereas Core's body is made from Bio-ABS. They're both often referred to as "bioplastics," but they're different materials doing different jobs and we deliberately use each one where its durability and lifespan fits best.

PLA (polylactic acid) is made from plant sugars and is industrially compostable: it's designed to break down only under certain conditions. That makes it the right choice for our brush heads, which need to stand up to the rigors of daily use and wet bathroom environments, and are only meant to be used for around three months before replacing. A head has a short life by design, so a material that can eventually break down is a good match for it.

Bio-circular ABS is the opposite by design. It's a tough, durable engineering plastic chemically identical to conventional ABS, so it is not compostable but made using renewable and waste-derived feedstock instead of virgin fossil oil. That strength, premium finish and resistance to toothpaste is exactly what the Core handle needs, because the handle is built to be kept and used for a long time.
